According to the World Health Organization (WHO), “between 8% and 38% of health workers suffer physical violence at some point in their careers. Many more are threatened or exposed to verbal aggression. Most violence is perpetrated by patients and visitors.” In Bangladesh, during covid, the cases of violence against doctors increased in a rapid manner. The reason behind this is lack of communication, lack of trust of patients, weak law infrastructure. People visiting hospitals are mostly high on emotions and within the poor infrastructure and overcrowded hospitals, emotions can run wild.
So our goal is to stand against violence on doctors by creating awareness regarding doctor patients relationships and capacity building training for medical students
