What is SRT?

A Sub Regional Training (SRT) is an international meeting, where motivated students from any region (ex. the 18 countries of Asia Pacific) will meet and participate in IFMSA-certified training, workshop and small working groups. member One National organisation of IFMSA of any specific region usually organizes the program. This year, the SRT Asia Pacific region will once again be held in Bangladesh. IFMSA trainers (foreign & local) will take sessions, which include sessions, workshops and small working group discussion especially emphasizing on education, medical medicolegal issues, health policy making as well as training on how to be a trainer

TNT

Training New Trainers workshop is a dynamic and engaging program, which recognises the Vital role in enhancing the learning capability of medical students and aims to empower participants to deliver an impactful and interactive training session. Through a combination of theoretical sessions, hands on activities, and practical exercise, participants learn about various teaching methodology, facilitation technique and adult learning principle. It provides participant with a comprehensive toolkit to excel in their role as trainers. overall the training new trainers, equips participants with new skills and knowledge to become effective trainers, empowering them to make a positive impact in medical education and contribute to the development of future Healthcare provider.

TSRHRT

Training Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Trainers aims to equip participants with the knowledge, confidence and skills to become effective trainers in the field of SRHR. This workshop recognise and knows the crucial role that medical professionals play to promote and advocate for sexual and reproductive health right and it aims to empower participants to address SRHR challenges in their communities. The workshop covers essential elements of effective training, including needs assessment, curriculum development, interactive teaching method and evaluation technique, they will also be encouraged to critically analyse social norms, policies and barriers that affect SRHR, and developed strategies to address them in their training activities and initiatives. Ultimately the participants will be capable of making a positive impact on Right-based sexual and reproductive health education in their community and beyond targetting specific health issues.

TNHRT

Training New Human Rights Trainers is a workshop created by the Standing Committee on Human Rights & Peace (SCORP) within IFMSA. The workshop was created in line with our mission to raise human rights awareness among medical students as well as empower young people to take human rights action in their communities. Human rights education is considered by the IFMSA as recognition of health as a fundamental human right. The aims of TNHRT are firstly and foremost to create ambassadors for human rights and humanitarian values within healthcare and the broader community by equipping medical students with the knowledge and tools to advocate for human rights as well as the relevant soft skills for training, inspiring and empowering others.

TPHT

Training Public Health Trainers aims to capacitate new trainers in the field of Public Health. This training has been designed for members who want to to develop their training skills and become certified trainers in the field of Public Health, with the ultimate aim of contributing to building the capacities of other members within the Standing Committee of Public Health. In order to achieve this, the workshop combines sessions focused on fundamental public health concepts (with focus on the most essential and transversals aspects of this field) with sessions that cover the most relevant knowledge about soft skills and training techniques that trainers need to have in order to deliver effective and good quality training sessions and workshops.

TNRT

Training New Research Trainers is a comprehensive, interactive, practical, and hand on hand basic research workshop for at least 8 hours a day.

This TNRT will mainly focus on basic research methodologies with additional individual soft skills sessions as a part of series of Research workshops that aim to cultivate the knowledge of BMSS members about the importance, relevance and applications of medical research. TNRT is aimed to create not only skilled young researchers who master the basic competencies of research, but also enable them to transfer this knowledge to other students

Training Medical Education Trainers, in its core, believes that its trainee must be equipped with skills and knowledge to become an effective trainer in the field of Medical Education and how important and critically do medical educators play in shaping the future of Healthcare and aims to empower participants to deliver high quality and learner-centred educational experience. The workshop covers the topic such as adult learning theory, educational psychology and the principles of effective teaching. By the end of the workshop, participants gain a deeper understanding of effective teaching and learning principles, enabling them to contribute to the continuous improvement medical education in their institution.
